As professional PADI members we take the Divemaster course extremely serious. Our staff have dived all around the world and know the ins and out of the diving industry. We feel proud of what we do for a living and take every Divemaster candidate as a personal challenge. Don’t get confused, it is a lot of fun, but our goal at Punta Uva Dive Center is that once you get your certification you’ll be able to work anywhere in the world with the highest quality of knowledge, training and preparation. As a certified Divemaster you can

  • Work at local dive centres, on live-aboard dive boats, yachts and at exotic resort locations.
  • Assist PADI Instructors with students.
  • Lead PADI Scuba Divers on guided dive tours, teach and certify PADI Skin Divers.
  • Teach PADI Discover Snorkeling programs.
  •  Conduct PADI Scuba Review programs for certified divers.

  • Lead certified divers on Discover Local Diving experiences.
  • Teach Emergency First Response programs after successful completion of an Emergency First Response Instructor course.
  • You will learn dive leadership through classroom and independent study sessions.
  • Complete water skills and stamina exercises in confined and open water.
    Training exercises to test organizational and problem solving abilities.
  • An internship or series of practical training exercises.

Equipment
As a dive professional, you’ll want to have all your basic scuba equipment, including a dive computer, a dive knife, and at least two surface signaling devices. During practical skills exercises, like underwater mapping and search and recovery, you’ll use a compass, floats, marker buoys, lift bags and slates. Your PADI Instructor may suggest additional gear that will be useful throughout your diving career.
Theory lessons
This part of the course you can start and finish even before you get to the dive center from the comfort of your home. How? With a new sistem called e-learning, implemented by PADI specially for travellers who like to do their diving education abroad but don’t want to spend their vacation going through books and exams. NOTICE: e-learning must be registered through punta uva dive center, padi dive resort 21314, if you did registered the e learning with a different dive school the price to pay at punta uva dive center increases in 60 us extra and rises to 295 us !!!

Practical lessons:
Its what you have been waiting for! It’s now time to go underwater! In your first confined water immersion you will be developing and improving all the variety of skills necessary to scuba dive safely, our top priority. The confined open water sessions are shore dives at the most secluded beach spot. At your pace and when your Instructor feels you are ready to go open water, then you will enter confidently into the amazing Caribbean underwater Kingdom. Enjoy the ride!
